Rip-off! Minister of Trade, Olusegun Aganga's dirty deals with the Vaswani brothers

Like a strawberry wife, that lays two or three great strawberries at the mouth of her pot, while the rest in the pot are diseased and tiny ones, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, may have initiated the idea of assembling vehicles to the Vaswani brothers and other foreign auto companies, which they used to their advantage, The Capital authoritatively reveal. Aganga, in a desperate yet successful ploy has been able to hoodwink the federal government and the citizenry into believing that a dawn of automotive and industrial bliss has berthed in the country courtesy the much hyped made in Nigeria vehicles campaign.
The National Automotive Policy (NAP) which was conceived with the intention of reducing Nigeria’s dependence on importation of new and used vehicle may have run into troubled waters as KIA, Nissan and the Vaswani brothers, owner of Stallion Motors, the economic giant contracted with the project, are yet to show any evidence that the touted vehicles are being assembled in Nigeria.
Stallion Motors’ much hyped and widely celebrated claim of assembling new vehicles in the country has been discovered to be untrue.

I did not do a boobs' job - Cynthia Morgan

Northside Music first lady and dancehall singer, Cynthia Morgan, is apparently not content with making music. She also enjoys posting pictures – semi nude pictures of herself on her instagram page at any opportunity she gets. And since she is apparently seeking for more attention and for her to set more tongues wagging, the babe went overboard earlier in the week and posted raunchy pictures of her boobs on the internet.

Indeed, tongues were set wagging as many people believed the babe had gone for breast enlargement.

I’m not planning to rig Rivers polls –Patience Jonathan

Wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, on Friday said there was no truth in the allegation that she was pressuring the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to rig the governorship election in Rivers State in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party. The state governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, had during a stakeholders’ meeting on Thursday alleged that Mrs. Jonathan was in her hometown, Okrika, to supervise electoral malpractices during the elections.

But the President’s wife, in a statement by the Director of Information in her office, Ihuoma Priscilla, said as an apostle of peace, she could not be involved in act that would hinder peaceful conduct of elections in any part of the country.

''Nigerians, it is Time to Decide the Terms of Our Coexistence!!'' - Etcetera Writes

A Saturday can't be complete without etcetera dropping an article.
This time he writes about the Igbos been marginalized. Enjoy...
The Igbos are the wandering Jews of West Africa… gifted, aggressive, Westernised; at best envied and resented, but mostly despised by the mass of their neighbours in the federation – Henry Kessinger (famous American diplomat)
Back in the days, men made fortune out of war, war was business. But today, the Igbos are making fortune out of business, because business is the new war.
Before we talk about the plight of the Igbos in Nigeria, let us start by defining a word that has been frequently used by the Igbos to define their situation in the country, marginalisation! According to a good number of dictionaries, to “marginalise” means “to treat someone or something as if they are unimportant.” It also means “to take or keep
somebody away from the centre of action.” Another dictionary defined it as “relegating someone or a group of people to a lower or outer edge of a community or society.”
For so long, the Igbos have bitterly cried out against apparent marginalisation by the Federal Goverment of Nigeria. There is almost a zero federal presence in the east, despite the fact that the eastern region is the most technologically advanced of all the regions. This suggests unequivocally that the Igbo-speaking Nigerians have been unjustly treated.

Jonathan is no Hero: Oby Ezekwsili

Oby Ezekwesili took to her Twitter account to announce that GEJ is no hero.

“When a review of President Jonathan’s administration is done, we’ll realise how much damage sycophancy did to governance. Example? Chibok Girls.”

“A leader must be without an inordinate desire to be serenaded with ‘good news’ or their team will never let them know the true state of affairs.”
“An environment that rewards sycophancy encourages team to withhold accurate ‘bad’ news (problems) from the leader while serving up ‘good news’.”

Nobody Should Celebrate Buhari-Etcetera

Why are we dancing? Why do we keep rolling out the drums each time we have a new government, only for us to start crying few months down the line? Is it that we are too quick to forget or we just love to dance? Do you celebrate a child who’s about to write his exams or the one who has written and passed? What is this jubilation for? Because I really don’t understand. Is it that the election of Buhari in itself has suddenly alleviated our sufferings? I am really confused here, hearing how six bikers lost their lives in Zaria celebrating Buhari’s victory.

Jonathan, family move personal effects from Aso Rock

President Goodluck Jonathan and his family members have started moving their personal belongings out of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, few days after the President lost his re-election bid.  Some buses loaded with travel bags moving out of the President’s official residence at about midday on Friday.

according to Saturday PUNCH, one of the buses, a white 18-seater Hiace bus marked PF 6244 AL, was still being loaded with bags of different shades and sizes at the time of filing this report. It was not clear at press time where the buses were heading for. A source said the early removal of the personal effects of the first family might have been necessitated by the need for the renovation of the residence ahead of the May 29 handover date.

For renovation work to commence on time, the President may have to be operating from outside the residence in the days ahead. Reports also have it that the Presidency had commenced a discreet investigation into how a recording of the telephone call by the President to Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) on March 31, congratulating him on his victory at the last Saturday’s presidential election was leaked.

Fellow Nigerians,

I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.
Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution
and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.

Buhari group calls for Fani-Kayode's arrest

The Buhari Support Organisations has called for the arrest of Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, the Director, Media, Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, for announcing unofficial results. The Director, Media and Information of the BSO, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, made the call on Monday in Abuja at a news conference.
