Mr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, the Managing Director of Slot Systems Ltd, one of the major dealers in GSM phones, computers and other electronic devices has made it to the news again, not because of a latest financial achievement, but because his business has been suffering for a while now.
According to those who should know, despite just collecting the franchise of BlackBerry and iPhones in Nigeria, business has not been blooming for the Slot boss.
He is currently in a battle with Computer Village boys who specialize in UK used phones. Nnamdi strongly believes that the success of these boys causes his business to take a nose dive because there is a greater demand for UK used phones in the market.
In a frantic attempt to save his business, the very wealthy businessman has vowed to flush all the used phones dealers out the Computer Village market situated in Otigba Street, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
We gathered that the used phone dealers are also ready for war. According to one of them who spoke to NaijaTimes anonymously, Nnamdi rose from selling used phones just like them, before he became the biggest in the industry and his attempt to run used phones dealers out of business is simply selfish.
